Hussein Khalil, MBA

Hussein headed Underwriting Team at Export Credit Guarantee of Egypt (EGE), The Export Credit Agency of Egypt, for two years, where he was leading a group of 10 underwriters. The team was responsible for TCI and Financial Guarantees products portfolio.  Hussein was also a member of the Executive Risk Committee at EGE that is responsible for approving and authorizing proposed credit limits.

Hussein Khalil has an overall more than 17 years of professional experience in finance and credit, including more than 14 years of experience in corporate banking, where he worked in the relationship management side in three of the top MENA regional banks (Bank Audi Egypt, Mashreq UAE & Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank UAE)

His banking experience include managing portfolios of clients in the emerging corporates segment (Mashreq), mid corporate segment (ADCB) and large corporates segments (Audi Bank). Was responsible for managing a portfolio of clients worth more than USD 1 Bn of approved limits in UAE. He has previously managed and structured transactions that involve Trade Finance, Bridge Finance, CAPEX requirements, Project Finance & EPC+F, Green-field projects, Working Capital Finance, Short/Medium/Long Finance Structures, Asset-Backed Finance, Contingent Assets/Liabilities, Cash Management Products, Treasury Products including SWAPs, FX, etc, Financial Modeling, Islamic Financial Solutions and Syndications and Club Deals.

Hussein obtained both his BA degree in Economics & MBA in Finance from the American University in Cairo in 2006 & 2012 respectively . Hussein is a Certified Banking Credit Manager (obtained from the AUC in 2007)  & Certified Islamic Finance Executive (obtained from ETHICA Institute of Islamic Finance in 2017).
